November 3, 2023 will mark five years since North Ogden Mayor Brent Taylor was killed in action while deployed to Afghanistan with the Army National Guard. Each year since then, a larger-than-life American flag has proudly flown in North Ogden’s Coldwater Canyon–and we’re excited to announce it will fly again this year! Join the Major Brent Taylor Foundation for a series of events anchored around the anniversary of Brent’s death and the annual nation-wide celebration of Veterans Day.

Oct 28 – Nov 11, Flight of The Major
The flag will be deployed into the canyon on Saturday, October 28th. Meet at the Coldwater Canyon Trailhead (2700 North Mountain Road) at 7 a.m. to help carry the flag up the mountain.

Nov 1 – 11, 2023 Tribute Field of Flags
Know a Veteran or current member of the military? Dedicate a flag to them to be part of the 2023 Tribute Field of Flags. The field will be in place in front of Pleasant View City Hall.

Nov 3, Annual Major Brent Taylor Gala
