Veterans Memorial

I would like to express my gratitude for your patriotism. I have noticed the flags and banners flown on holidays. I drove around the city on Flag Day and noticed a lot of flags being flown. I know that many of you have the wonderful service that many Scout Troops offer, and thanks for supporting them as well as being a patriot. I also noticed a tremendous amount of single flags scattered here and there, obviously not part of a troop, but posted by individuals. It gives me such a sense of pride. We truly have the greatest citizens in the country. I believe this with all my heart. Thank you so much. I cannot adequately express my pride for my country, my city, and for all the great people in this community.

As I mentioned last month, the City has been contacted about a project that a citizen is putting together. We feel like this is a great cause and will be an excellent addition to our City Center.

Christie Bailey is working on putting together the design, funding and other logistical needs of erecting a Veteran’s Memorial for those citizens of Pleasant View that have served in the military throughout our City’s  history. She is looking for anyone that would like to be involved in any way to help in this noble endeavor.

Please feel free to reach out to her at baileykbct@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to help. I personally think this would be a great addition to our community. They are trying to raise the funds to make it happen, so if you are in a position to do so, please consider contributing.
