Student of the Month

Sacoya Ipock

Weber High School

Sacoya Ipock is a senior at Weber High and is one of the most genuine people I have ever met, which is why she was chosen as the Connection’s Choice Student of the Month. Sacoya has been a friend of mine for about five years now and throughout that time she always lifts up me and the people around us. She constantly goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and accepted. If she sees someone sitting alone at lunch she doesn’t hesitate to go and talk to that person. Last year she ran for senior class officer and, not surprisingly, she made it. She plans on being specialized in orthopedic surgery. She doesn’t know what college she wants to go to quite yet, but her top two choices are University of Arkansas and Louisiana State University. She spends most of her time volunteering at the Ogden Nature Center, teaching horse riding lessons, rehearsing for the Newsies play, and so much more. In her free time she likes to go for rides with her horse, paint, sing, dance, play the piano, and take pictures.

Megan Taylor

Orion Junior High School

Megan Taylor is the sweetest girl. We are so glad that she is one of our Connection Choice Students of the Month. She attends Orion Jr. High as an eighth grader. Her favorite subject is math and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Zito. She loves tumbling and is really good at it. When she has time she enjoys reading books that are written by Rick Riordan. She was part of the Spanish immersion program at Majestic Elementary and is fluent in Spanish. When she grows up she wants to be a circus performer with a traveling circus and then open her own circus gym. Megan is such a great helper to her parents and a good friend to those she’s around.

Raegan Rogers

North Ogden Junior High School

Raegan Rogers is an eighth grader at North Ogden Junior High School. She is our pick for the Connection Choice Student of the Month because she always has such a great attitude and is always happy. She is so fun to be around. We asked her what some of her favorite things are. This was her reply: favorite subject is student government; favorite teacher is all of them; her favorite things to do are play sports, be with friends and make people laugh. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Thank you Raegan for being such a great friend and example to those you are around.
