North Ogden Mayor Message

Mayor Brent Chugg

We extend our love and sympathy to the family of Sgt. 1st Class Elliott J. Robbins who lost his life in the service of our country. We are deeply saddened to hear of his death, and his sacrifice will not be forgotten. His devotion to duty and the preservation of our freedom demonstrates the character and love he has for our country. We pray for the blessings of peace to be with his loved ones during this tender moment.

We also extend our love and sympathy to the family of Jared Reaves, a member of the Coast Guard, who passed away after a valiant fight with Leukemia. We honor him for protecting our coast lines and serving our country. Jared’s parents, James and Marti Hammond, live in North Ogden.

During the month of August, we begin to see the waning of summer. The days are getting shorter and temperatures will begin to decline. Vacations will be primarily finished and, to the delight of parents, children will be going back to school. We will see fall approaching with leaves starting to color and show their brilliance. We are fortunate to live in an area where we have four seasons. We have certain likes and dislikes with each one, but it seems to bring a change in our daily routines that is refreshing. The area is pleasant and has its own scenic beauty.

If your birthday is in August, you are said to be ambitious, brave, and to have a daring attitude. You are an attention seeker, very generous, easy going, and strong in character. You are born to be successful, observant, creative, caring, and a loving faithful friend. In other words, you’re awesome!Enjoy the remainder of Summer and upcoming Fall season!
