Pleasant View Youth City Council Update

PThe Pleasant View Youth City Council was proud to work with the Magic Yarn Project in January. This organization enables community volunteers to create handmade wigs for children across the world battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. It was incredibly rewarding to craft Jack Sparrow wigs for this amazing organization because they will bring smiles to the children who receive them. This was our second time working with the Magic Yarn Project and we hope to contribute again next year.

In addition, the Youth City Council had the privilege to volunteer at the Lantern House, a local homeless shelter, where we served dinner to those in need on two separate weekends with a total of almost twenty volunteers. The smiles and thanks we received will stay with us well into the future. The Youth City Council loves serving the community, and we look forward to the new year of service ahead of us!
